Rank Tracking
Monitor your traditional search engine rankings alongside AI visibility data.
Last updated August 31, 2026
Rank Tracking monitors where your website ranks in traditional search engine results pages (SERPs) for specific keywords - complementing your AI citation data in AEO Goal.
Adding keywords to track
- Go to Rank Tracking.
- Click Add Keywords.
- Enter keywords one per line, or import a CSV.
- Select the search engine (Google, Bing) and country.
- Click Add.
What you see
For each tracked keyword:
- Current position - where you rank today (1-100, or “Not in top 100”)
- Position change - movement since the last check (↑3, ↓1, etc.)
- URL ranking - which page on your site is ranking
- Search volume - estimated monthly searches (from integrated keyword data)
- Trend sparkline - 30-day position history
Position history
Click any keyword to see its full position history chart. You can overlay competitor positions if you’ve added competitor domains.
Connecting with AI data
Rank Tracking and Citations data are connected: keywords where you rank well in traditional search often correspond to topics where AI engines cite you. Use the correlation to:
- Identify topics where you rank highly but aren’t being cited by AI (AEO content opportunity)
- Spot topics where AI cites you but you don’t rank (opportunity to add supporting SEO)
Importing from Google Search Console
If you’ve connected GSC (see Google Search Console), you can import your top-performing queries directly into rank tracking. Go to Rank Tracking → Import from GSC.
Alerts
Enable rank change alerts in Settings → Notifications to be emailed when any keyword moves by more than a configurable threshold (e.g., ±5 positions).
