Prompt Research

Discover high-impact AI prompts you should be tracking using AEO Goal's research tools.

Last updated August 31, 2026

Prompt Research helps you find the questions people are actually asking AI engines about your category - so you know which prompts to track and which topics to create content for.

How it works

  1. Go to Research → Prompt Research.
  2. Enter a seed topic (e.g. “AI SEO”, “project management software”).
  3. Click Research.

AEO Goal queries AI engines with variations of your seed topic and surfaces the actual questions and answer patterns that come back - revealing what AI systems “know” about your category.

What you get

  • Suggested prompts - questions AI engines often get asked about your topic
  • Current answer patterns - which brands and sources AI engines favor today
  • Gap analysis - topics where no clear answer exists (opportunities to own)
  • Intent categorization - each suggested prompt is automatically tagged by buyer intent stage

Adding research results to tracking

From any research result:

  1. Click Track this prompt.
  2. Confirm the category.
  3. The prompt is added to your tracked list and queued for its first run.

Research credits

Prompt research uses AI answer-check credits. Each research session consumes credits based on the number of queries run. See Usage & Credits.
