Last updated August 31, 2026

Conversions shows how AI-driven traffic is converting on your website - linking your AEO visibility data to actual business outcomes.

Requirements

Conversions tracking requires a connected Google Analytics 4 property. See Google Analytics to set it up.

What conversions AEO Goal tracks

AEO Goal pulls conversion data from GA4 for sessions that originated from AI-referred traffic (sessions where the referrer matches AI engine domains like perplexity.ai, chat.openai.com, claude.ai, etc.).

Tracked conversion events include any event you’ve defined as a conversion in GA4:

  • Form submissions (lead generation)
  • Free trial signups
  • Purchase completions
  • Email subscribers
  • Custom events you’ve configured
