Competitors
Track competitor AI visibility, compare Share of Model, and identify prompts you're losing.
Last updated August 31, 2026
The Competitors view shows how your AI visibility compares to other brands on the same tracked prompts.
Adding competitors
- Go to Competitors.
- Click Add Competitor.
- Enter the competitor’s domain (e.g.
hubspot.com). - Click Add.
AEO Goal automatically looks for mentions of the competitor domain and brand name in all your tracked prompt results. You don’t need to know the competitor’s brand name - just the domain.
Competitor dashboard
The competitor dashboard shows:
- Side-by-side SoM - your Share of Model % vs. each competitor’s
- Head-to-head table - for each tracked prompt, who won (you, the competitor, both, or neither)
- Win/Loss breakdown - how many prompts you’re winning vs. losing vs. tying
- Trend over time - whether the gap is narrowing or widening
Prompt-level detail
Click any competitor to see a prompt-by-prompt breakdown:
- You win - your brand appears, competitor doesn’t
- Competitor wins - competitor appears, you don’t
- Both appear - both brands mentioned (check position)
- Neither - no brand recommended
Focus your content strategy on “Competitor wins” prompts - these are the highest-impact gaps.
Competitive alerts
Set up a notification to be alerted when a competitor’s SoM changes significantly. Go to Settings → Notifications and enable Competitor alerts. See Notifications.
