Planner
Organize your AEO content strategy with a Kanban-style task board.
Last updated August 31, 2026
The Planner is a Kanban-style task board for organizing your AEO content strategy - tracking content ideas, blog posts in progress, and optimization tasks from research to publication.
Planner vs. Tickets
- Planner - for high-level content strategy tasks you manage yourself (content calendar, editorial planning)
- Tickets - for technical issues and actionable fixes, often assigned to developers or other team members
Planner columns
The default columns are:
| Column | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Ideas | Content opportunities and AEO improvement ideas |
| Research | Topics being researched (keyword analysis, prompt research) |
| Writing | Posts or pages currently being drafted |
| Review | Content awaiting review or approval |
| Published | Live content |
You can rename, add, or remove columns to match your workflow.
Adding tasks
- Go to Planner.
- Click + Add Task in any column.
- Enter a title (e.g. “Blog: Why AI Citations Matter for B2B SaaS”).
- Optionally add:
- Description or notes
- Due date
- Assignee (team members in your workspace)
- Related keyword or prompt
- Click Add.
Moving tasks
Drag tasks between columns to update their status. Click any task to open its detail panel.
Linking to content
Tasks can be linked to:
- A generated blog post (from Blog Generation)
- A tracked keyword
- A tracked prompt
- A Ticket
Linking keeps your planning connected to the actual work in AEO Goal.
Filtering
Filter the board by:
- Assignee - see only your tasks
- Due date - overdue, this week, this month
- Label - color-coded custom labels you define
Integration with Blog Generation
When you generate a blog post, you can create a Planner task at the same time - automatically placing it in “Writing” with a link to the draft.
