Understand AI answer-check credits, how they're consumed, and how to manage your usage.

AI answer-check credits power the AI-intensive features in AEO Goal - tracked prompt runs, blog generation, keyword research, and AI chat.
What consumes credits

Credit costs may vary based on the AI engine queried and the complexity of the operation.
Viewing your credit balance
Go to Settings → Billing → Usage to see:
- Credits remaining in the current billing period
- Credits consumed by feature (bar chart breakdown)
- Daily usage trend
- Projected consumption based on current pace
Credit refresh
Credits refresh at the start of each billing period (monthly or annually). Unused credits do not roll over.
Adding extra credits
If you run out of credits before your period refreshes:
- Go to Settings → Billing.
- Click Buy Credits.
- Select a credit pack.
- Confirm purchase.
Extra credits are available for purchase at any time and don’t expire until used.
Credit low alerts
Set up a low-credit alert in Settings → Notifications to be emailed when your balance falls below a set threshold (e.g. 100 credits). This prevents unexpected service interruptions.
How markets affect credit consumption
Each market you add to a brand multiplies credit consumption for tracked prompts. A prompt tracked across 3 markets uses 3 credits per run. Plan your market configurations accordingly if you’re on a credit-limited plan.
Free tier limits
The free tier includes a limited number of credits per month. Feature access on the free tier is restricted - some features (blog generation, agent workflows, API access) require a paid plan.
