Backlinks
Monitor your backlink profile, track referring domains, and identify link-building opportunities.
Last updated August 31, 2026
Backlinks shows your website’s inbound link profile - the sites linking to you, which pages they link to, and how your link profile is growing over time.
The Backlinks dashboard
Total backlinks - the total number of inbound links to your domain.
Referring domains - the number of unique root domains linking to you (a more meaningful metric than total backlinks, since one domain can send many links).
Domain rating - an overall authority score for your domain (0-100), influenced by the quality and quantity of referring domains.
New / Lost - backlinks gained and lost since the last data sync.
Filtering and searching
- Filter by follow/nofollow - nofollow links provide less SEO value
- Filter by domain rating of the referring domain - high-DR links are more valuable
- Search for a specific referring domain or your own target URL
Drill-in views
Click the Trends stat tiles (or any metric card) to drill into a sub-view:
- New links - recent backlinks gained
- Lost links - links that were removed (investigate if high-value links are disappearing)
- Top referring domains - your best link sources by authority
- Top linked pages - which of your pages attract the most links
Link-building opportunities
The Opportunities tab shows:
- Pages that link to competitors but not to you
- Sites that mention your brand without linking (unlinked mentions - easy wins for link outreach)
- Broken link opportunities (sites linking to a dead page on a competitor)
Backlink data refresh
Backlink data is refreshed regularly from third-party index providers. The last sync date is shown at the top of the Backlinks view. Data is not real-time - there’s typically a 24-48 hour lag for new links to appear.
