Configure citation alerts, competitive change alerts, and email notification preferences.

AEO Goal can alert you when important changes happen to your AI visibility - so you don’t need to check the dashboard manually.

Types of notifications

Type When it fires
Citation alert Your brand gains or loses a citation on an AI platform
Competitor alert A tracked competitor changes AI visibility significantly
Share of Model change Your SoM moves by a configurable threshold (e.g., ±5%)
Keyword ranking change A tracked keyword position changes by a configurable threshold
Content published A blog post is published to a connected CMS
Credit low AI answer-check credits fall below a set threshold

Configuring notification preferences

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications.
  2. For each notification type, toggle Email and/or In-app on or off.
  3. For threshold-based alerts (SoM, rankings), set the minimum change percentage.
  4. Click Save preferences.

Additional email recipients

Add up to 3 additional email recipients for any notification type - useful for sending alerts to clients or stakeholders without giving them account access.

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications.
  2. Click Add recipient under the notification type.
  3. Enter the email address.

In-app notification center

The bell icon in the top navigation shows all recent in-app notifications. Click any notification to navigate directly to the affected data.

Unsubscribing

You can unsubscribe from any email notification type in Settings → Notifications or via the Unsubscribe link in any notification email.

Transactional emails (password reset, billing receipts, security alerts) cannot be unsubscribed from.
